I’m sure you’ve heard about JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series. You may well, like me, have read the books because all your family loved them and you felt you were missing out on something really special. Or you saw the movies and marvelled at the wondrous tales told, with special effects you definitely don’t remember in earlier chidrens’ films.
Well, my niece recently brought to my attention a video (about 20 minutes long) on TED Talks of Ms Rowling presenting a graduation address at Harvard University in Boston on June 5 2008. Although I follow TED.com regularly this talk slipped by me and so I was thrilled to finally catch-up, albeit almost two years later!
It’s inspiring in it themes and a wonderful blend of humour and wisdom.
