Some coffee shops have good coffee and that’s about it. Others have great locations but … well you know what it’s like, the staff are contrary, the coffee dreadful, the seats suitable for small bottoms only, no yummies to nibble etc etc
Occasionally you find somewhere that combines location, ambience, comfort, food and coffee in abundance. The Boat House in Palm Beach, Sydney is such a cafe. It’s one of those spots you wish you could keep a secret so I’m almost loathe to mention it for fear of not getting a seat there myself, but on the other hand this is already the case on occasions (especially sunny weekends) so …
It’s such a delight to wander in after a long beach walk or a hike up to the lighthouse, sitdown amidst flowers and produce from the markets, watch a sea plane landing … it’s almost too good to be true but it is! (I’ve even seen a pod of dolphins just off the pontoon)
Next time you’re in the northern beaches of Sydney pop in and see what you think - I bet you’ll love it!
