There it was, right on cue … a brightly painted, little wooden fishing boat, in the harbour at St Tropez – just as I always imagined it would be!
This photograph is now my screen saver to remind me of a wonderful road trip I’ve just had through southern France and northern Spain with family and friends.
I wish I could say we lingered in St Tropez at Le Club 55 just like Brigitte Bardot, but sadly no … we were on the move almost daily for 6 weeks – but it was fun to be visiting so many wonderful places and seeing so many things.
However, you may have noticed that I haven’t been posting on Womensnook whilst I’ve been away. In the end I gave up trying to write as I travelled due to timing, internet difficulties and the like so what I’d like to do now is tell some little tales from my diary of places of interest, where to stay (read my post on La Mirande in Avignon), restaurants and the like that you can enjoy in your armchair travels or if you’re thinking of going there soon.
I must say though that it’s nice to be back home and I look forward to chatting with you – much more regularly! – on my ‘new-look’ Womensnook which should be coming up very soon!
