World Environment Day 2009

Apologies for the lack of posts over the past week (we’ve been busy travelling to see family). Home now, and wanted to quickly mention World Environment day which was on Friday June 5. The website has some interesting information, including the UN’s 12-step programme for individuals and businesses hoping to reduce their carbon footprint.

Current interest in climate change and sustainability has introduced an abundance of new terms and expressions. It’s hard to keep up. We’d all like to discuss such issues, but there’s nothing worse than being caught not knowing the lingo. Here’s a little ‘green glossary’ to get you started - some of it basic, others more technical.
